Welcome to Your Workplace is a series of fully customizable e-Learning lessons designed to help your workforce successfully:

  • Transition from one workplace to another
  • Learn about the features and amenities available in their new workplace
  • Leverage leading edge workplace design elements in their daily activities
  • Access and use critical information they'll need to operate efficiently
  • Adapt their behavior to help support the overall workplace vision

These e-Learning lessons are ideal for transitioning your workforce from an existing building to another, or for transitioning from a traditional workplace to one that is shared, one that is sustainable, or even to the home office. Once the transition is complete, these lessons can be used for onboarding new employees for years to come.

The Welcome to Your Workplace lessons are fully customizable to include details unique to your organization such as technology, health and safety and all the unique features your workplace contains. And, in a week or two, you can now train a few dozen or a few thousand members of your workforce, providing them with all the guidance, tools and resources they need to make the most of their new workplace experience.

The Building

Learn critical information on the elements of the building to ensure a safe, secure, efficient, productive use of the workplace.

The student learns not only the physical attributes of a building structure, but essential information on the use of key internal and external building features, services and design elements. This lesson provides students with essential information for taking advantage of these elements.

This course can be customized to present details, diagrams and photographs of your building features, building terminology, expectations of workers for using building features and can provide links to essential information such as your parking policy, elevator access, food and beverage amenities and any other information relevant to working in a distributed team.

Making the Move

Learn information, schedules and resources for a successful workplace move.

Students acquire information, tools, guidance and resources to move from one workplace to another in an orderly way with minimal work disruption and downtime. This section anticipates and answers questions, provides step-by-step instructions for major move milestones, provides key dates for completion of these milestones and provides additional ideas, tips and resources for making the transition as smooth as possible.

This course can be customized to present details, diagrams and photographs of new space features, building terminology, tips for preparing for the move and moving day expectations. It can provide links to essential information such as your moving schedule, elevator access, contact information for support and any other information relevant to moving to a new location.

The Workspace

Learn the options, features, protocols and support available for working successfully in unfamiliar workspaces.

Students acquire information essential for working in a new workspace, including the various workspace options and features, tips for selecting activity-based workspaces, how to use workspace elements, the protocols they can expect to follow and the services and support available. This course provides the student with information on how to best use the workspaces to meet their immediate work needs, along with tips and resources to maximize work efficiency.

This course can be customized to present details, workspace terminology and features, selection and reservation options, use of furniture and equipment and can provide links to essential information such as workspace protocols, access and usage guidelines, contact information for support and any other information relevant to the workspace.

The Technology

Learn knowledge, instructions and protocols for maximizing the use of workplace technology.

Students obtain information on key technology tools and equipment available in the workplace that enable fundamental work functionality, collaboration and high productivity. The course reviews best practices and protocols for access, usage and seeking support, as well as tips for maximizing productivity, mobility, accessibility and security.

This course can be customized to present details, lists and availability of workplace technology and tips for accessing, using and maximizing productivity with technology tools. It can provide links to essential information such as protocols for technology selection, access and usage, contact information for support and any other information relevant to the use of workplace technology.

Sustainability

Learn workplace sustainability features, protocols and support available and how to use them.

Students learn the sustainability features of their workplace, along with the tips, tools, protocols and other knowledge to help meet the sustainability goals of the organization. Students learn essential information on sustainable systems, features, practices, activities and policies all designed to provide a sustainable environment that can only be achieved with the acceptance and participation of every worker and visitor.

This course can be customized to present your sustainability strategy and objectives, your sustainability program name and terminology, worker expectations and can provide links to essential information such as your policies on waste management and conservation, details on your commute options program and any other information relevant to sustainability in the workplace.

Health & Safety

Learn the features, protocols and practices to promote a healthy, safe workplace.

Students become familiar with the elements, processes, staff and procedures essential to health and safety, along with tips, plans, procedures, processes and protocols for using them. In this lesson students learn essential personal behavior that is consistent with healthy and safe workplace practices, to maximize the value and potential of these elements in the workplace.

This course can be customized to present your home health and safety goals, protocols and requirements, can provide links to essential information such as your healthy workplace policy, your employee assistance program, remote work safety guidelines and any other information relevant to health and safety.

Home Office

Learn best practices for establishing a home office and working in it successfully.

Learners acquire the tools, guidance, resources and contemporary skills for establishing and working in a home office. Students are provided the knowledge, tips, tools and resources for identifying home office needs, planning the home office layout, managing information security, managing physical security, all to establish a well designed, efficient, safe, secure work environment. Upon completion, the learner is provided with resources, tips on next steps, and an opportunity to provide feedback on the learning experience.

This course can be customized to present your home office goals, protocols and requirements.  It can provide links to essential information such as your ergonomics policy, remote work security guidelines, and any other information relevant to the home office.
